Twitter LIVE on the iPhone

Today saw the launch of ‘Twitter LIVE’ – an innovative and free additional advertising feature on the Wampit® UK business directory. 

When a business registers on Wampit® for their free advert, as well as being able to include images, text, and even video, they will now be able to add a ‘widget’ on their company profile that will display their latest ‘tweets’ directly from their Twitter account.

Placing live Twitter feeds directly onto advert listings is a ‘first’ in the world of online business directories, as no other UK company currently offers this integrated marketing tool.  Twitter have made their live update widgets available for some months, however, up until now they have only been integrated into websites / blogs – not actual directory based listings.  Also, people needed to be technically savvy to implement the widget code (Twitter API).

Wampit® has simplified the process by enabling businesses to copy the code supplied by Twitter, and then paste it directly into the relevant field on the Wampit® business registration page.
